General Duties:
A Staff Nurse at the American Red Cross works on the blood drives and is responsible for all aspects of blood collection in strict accordance with all regulations with consideration for the safety and comfort of the donor, the quality of the product for the recipient and maintaining a warm congenial atmosphere for the blood donor.

Qualifications

• Requires current R.N. license.
• Experience in blood phlebotomy and health histories desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills, effective communication and public relation skills.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Ability to assume charge function after appropriate training.
• Must exhibit professional and friendly demeanor.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Drives own vehicle to and from collection sites.
